Welcome

Five stunning rooms
to pick from

JKL Guesthouse sits on 4th Street in Mookgophong, behind a locked gate with parking you can see from your door. Five air-conditioned rooms, each with its own bathroom, a fridge, a kettle and a TV. Everything is new, everything is clean, and the whole place is built around the idea that you should be able to arrive late, sleep properly and leave early without having to ask anyone for anything.

It suits the people who actually stay here: reps and contractors working the N1 corridor, families breaking the drive to Polokwane, and weekenders down for the bushveld and the hot springs.

Every room is air-conditioned and has its own bathroom, fridge, kettle and TV. Prices are per person, per night.

  1. Room 1 — the one with the lounge

An extra‑length king bed, and then a proper sitting room of your own next door with two sleeper couches, a bar fridge, a kettle and space to spread work out on the table. The couches make up into beds, so this is the room to take if the children are travelling with you, or if you are staying more than one night.

    • Extra-length king bed
    • Two sleeper couches
    • Private lounge
    • En-suite bathroom

    R950 per person, per night

Where you are

Mookgophong, on the N1

Mookgophong sits in the Limpopo bushveld about two hours up the N1 from Pretoria, between Modimolle and Mokopane. It is warm most of the year, the sunsets are worth stopping for, and the natural hot springs the region is known for are an easy drive.

Nature reserves, game farms and a handful of good local restaurants are all close by, which is why the town works equally well as a base for a week of work or a weekend of doing very little.
